11/19/2013: Rise of tech tenants changing office market

Developers, business leaders and policy experts alike are expressing their concerns to Bill de Blasio regarding the future of office space in NYC. Specifically, the experts are concerned that the growth of tech companies has dramatically changed the office market landscape, creating a list of new space requirements for which the city must adapt. Additionally, according to NYC's independent Budget Office, tenants will need about 52 million square feet of new office space by 2040.[read more]
